At Wooden Concepts, we create high-end custom cabinetry, architectural millwork and quality furniture for every room of your home. We do not compete with major manufacturers and retail stores by building 'cookie cutter' cabinets with the same generic accessories and sub-grade materials. We build high-end furniture for your kitchen. We use only the best grades of plywood and hand select hard woods. Our cabinet construction is not matched by anyone in the industry. All of our cabinet parts are interlocked together to make one very sturdy piece of furniture.

We build our cabinets with a lot of pride. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve the integrity, as well as the beauty of our cabinetry.  In 2004 we developed a new way to strenthen our cabinets. We have since changed our entire line of cabinetry to this new interlocking design, including our base cabinets.

We are taking cabinet accessories to a whole new level as well.  Lazy susans are such a nice accessory for most kitchens. Unless you plan on overloading it later. Most Lazy susans are not built to hold canned goods for a 36" corner cabinet but ours is.  We offer a custom lazy susan where each shelf has a load rating of 1000 pounds. We have even turned our architectural millwork into hidden spice racks.

We use the best finish line on the market today, a product called Sherwood, made by Sherwin Williams specifically for architectural millwork. Sherwood stains are very rich in color and can be computer matched to any color desired. We send your desired color to Sherwin Williams and they match the color into their stain.

Before this technology was introduced, color matching was incorporated into a low grade lacquer and sprayed onto the wood. That method covered up most of the wood's characteristics. This new technology allows you to have the color you desire while showcasing the wood's natural grains. We also use the Sherwood lacquer to finish the cabinets. Sherwin Williams listened to the complaints of high-end furniture and custom cabinetry builders and offered a solution. Prior to the introduction of Sherwood, we had two main options in finishing products: polyurethane and lacquer. While polyurethane is very durable, it is applied with a brush and ends up being thick. This results in a wavy appearance on flat parts. Lacquer, on the other hand, is as smooth as glass but not very durable. Sherwin Williams developed Sherwood which is durable like polyurethane but can be sprayed on perfectly like lacquer. We use this Sherwood lacquer on all of our custom cabinetry parts, inside and out.
